I moved the management of our four Toowoomba properties to Highfields real estate in June this year as I was very unhappy with my previous agent (a large office in Toowoomba). The Highfields office inspected all four properties on transfer and advised me that all four were at least $40 a week under rented and several maintenance issues had been reported to the (other) agent but not addressed. Our main concern was that two of these issues were minor but dangerous electrical faults which we saw as placing us in danger of a law suit. Highfields ordered these repairs on site the same day for which we are very grateful.Two of our properties have been vacated and re-let since then ans true to form the rents were increased by $50 a week in each case. This means we have been losing about $2000 a year on each property for at least 2 years. That is the rates bill for each one.The new tenants appear to be excellent as we have had cause to visit the properties doing maintenance and gardening since they have been in. We are so happy with Highfields real estate and recommend them to anyone we know with property in the area as we feel our investments are now in competent hands. Well done HCRE.
